The Secret to Getting More Work…

Here's the secret to getting more work as a freelancer: go away for a couple of days in the middle of the week. Clients can smell when you're playing hooky.

Last week, I drove to Milwaukee to meet up with my wife who was there on business. We checked out a Brewers game and drove home the next day.

Since I pulled away from my house last Thursday I've had no fewer than five new projects come in, including one from a new client.
